Christopher Gale
Executive Chairman

Christopher (Chris) Gale is the founding Director of Latam Data Centers. He has had over 30 years’ experience in senior executive roles in both the public and private sectors, specialising in commercial and financial management. He has had over 15 years in operating businesses in South America and held various board positions at several publicly listed mining and technology companies during his career. In 2001 he founded Swiftel Ltd, an Australian SX listed telecommunications and Data centre company. He also founded Latin Resources Limited in 2008, where he served as Managing Director and oversaw the development of the world class Salinas Lithium Deposit in Brazil for Latin Resources from discovery through to the successful sale of Latin Resources (ASX:LRS) to Pilbara Minerals (ASX:PLS) in 2025 for circa $600m.

Chris is the former Chairman of the Council on Australian Latin American Relations (COALAR) from 2012 to 2018, which was established by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in 2001. He is also the founding Director of Allegra Capital a boutique corporate advisory firm and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Sales Director

James Reid has had over 30 years as a senior Sales Manager within the Telecommunications and Information Technology sectors including Data Centers. He has worked for International IT companies throughout Europe and Australia. James is a seasoned business leader passionate about driving digital transformation and technology adoption. With experience leading service delivery across banking, government, education, and healthcare sectors.

João Paulo Braga
Brazil Country Manager

João Paulo Braga leads Latam Data Centers development in Brazil and brings extensive experience working with international investors on complex infrastructure and industrial projects. He previously served as CEO of Invest Minas, the investment promotion agency of the State of Minas Gerais, where he led the attraction of more than US$100 billion in domestic and international investments. During his tenure he launched initiatives such as Lithium Valley Brazil and oversaw strategic studies on digital infrastructure and hyperscale data center opportunities in Minas Gerais. Joao Paulo is recognized for his ability to de-risk projects by aligning investors, government and infrastructure stakeholders to enable large-scale developments.
